I was an immigrant to the United States from Manchester, UK in the early 70's. In 1982 when our children were in school full-time I started our business with one employee. Today we have an excellent reputation and are one of the largest insurance agencies on the Main Line. My goal is to provide caring and expert guidance to all our customers whether they rent a small apartment or own a mansion. The most rewarding and enjoyable aspect of the business is the interaction between our policyholders and ourselves. It is a delight to take care of grandchildren of some of our earliest customers. growing our business generation by generation, that is what we are about. Rachel Gerrity, Vice-President
Rachel showed her interested in the insurance business at an early age. While in High School she worked part time for a large brokerage firm and helped out in our agency at the weekends. After she graduated from college she worked as a homeowner's underwriter for a well known corporation and then continued to claims handling. From there she progressed to owning her own very successful agency in Colorado. Susan is particularly happy that Rachel decided to return to Pennsylvania and to work in our agency. She adds her own particular brand of expertise and cheeriness and loves working with our customers. She particularly enjoys coming across her old High School friends and writing policies for them
I joined the Gerrity Agency more than 15 years ago, after teaching at local private schools and selling residential real estate. My own particular expertise is in customer service. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with our valued clients. My substantial background compliments my ability to best match individuals and families with the insurance products and coverages that best suit their needs. I love helping our customers. As their families grow and mature there is an additional satisfaction in guiding their, now grown-up, children
I use my background in real estate sales and mortgages to explain homeowner's insurance coverage and to determine the needs and wants of our customers. I find this job to be especially rewarding when I have helped a newly divorced or widowed customer, or a young adult purchase a policy for the first time. It's a great feeling when you can see you've helped them understand that insurance isn't scary anymore. Then you know you've done a good job. I look forward to giving guidance and advice to many more customers in the years to come.
Prior to starting work with the Gerrity Agency in October of 2008, I was employed in various capacities in the banking industry. I love working in the insurance business because of the challenges we face every day. The many types of people we encounter make my job interesting and variable. Speaking with our customers, helping them solve their questions and concerns, guiding them through the claims process and giving them the best possible coverage at the most competitive prices is what I enjoy doing.
I work at the Gerrity Insurance Agency and am the first person you meet since I sit at the front desk Reception. I enjoy greeting customers by telephone and in person. My job is to help customers to understand their bills and assist in paying their bills. I refer our customers to our licensed staff if they have a question about a new policy, coverage or claims. In my previous career as a pension administrator, I explained
pension benefits to plan participants. I have also worked with non-profit organizations in growing their donor bases and supported two local ministers in pastoral care at a nearby church. These experiences taught me to be sensitive and caring to others and always provide the best customer service possible. This is what we at the Gerrity Agency are all about.
In 1993 my husband's job relocated us from Englalnd. After spending a few years as a stay at home Mum, and my youngest daughter was in school, my neighbor told me about a job opening with Susan's agency. Now my daughter is about to graduate and I am still enjoying working here. Generally I keep all the filing up to date and mail out Welcome Packages to our new customers. I also send out cancellation letters and take care of our customers by making follow up 'phone calls to make sure they know when their payments are due.
I am the newest member of Susan's staff and am a "returning to work mother".
In my previous career I worked in the human resources department of a very large corporation. I enjoy the office atmosphere in the Gerrity Agency. Now my licensing and initial formal insurance training is complete, I am learning the practical every day aspect of the business. I am looking forward to become an expert, like the rest of our staff, solving problems for customers and giving them the expert service they deserve.
Neil Damato, Life, Disability, Long term care Insurance and Savings for retirement.
Neil's wealth of experience in the financial field is something he enjoys sharing with our customers. He can deal with young married couples, single parents with college age children and those who are preparing for
retirement. Neil is happy to make house calls so that our families can talk about issues that are most important to them in the privacy of their own homes. Neil is equally comfortable talking to business owners about the sort of life insurance they should buy to protect their business. No case is too small or too large for Neil.
46 years ago I chose insurance as my career and I joined the Gerrity Agency 2 years ago. I am lucky to work with Susan's staff - between us we have at least 200 years of experience! It is my pleasure to talk to all our customers, I advise them about their insurance and make sure they are properly covered. I am always checking to see if we can save any money for the customer. Every time I pick up the 'phone it's a new adventure. I love solving any insurance problems, big or small - I am just satisfied that I can help.
My 26 year career in the insurance industry and in local property and casualty agencies has made me understand that it is important to establish long-term relationships with our customers. Prior to starting off in my insurance career, I graduated with a degree in business from State College. This degree was very helpful in making me appreciate how businesses operate and the importance of personal and caring service. In our Agency we pride ourselves in making sure that with our guidance, our customers are fully protected for any risks that they may encounter. We are also proud that we support many organizations and charities in our community of Wayne.
